Aroma An intense and enticing bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the rich notes of honey and dried apricot, beautifully complemented by aromas of tropical fruit such as pineapple and mango, and a subtle spicy touch of vanilla, almond and light toast.

Taste The mouthfeel is broad, buttery-soft and highly structured. On the palate, layers of ripe yellow fruit appear, with a striking balance between the creamy texture and the powerful, lively acidity that is characteristic of Petit Manseng. The alcohol percentage of 14,0% gives the wine enormous body, with mineral nuances and a hint of sweetness in the finish lingering for a long time.

Finish A very long, elegant finish. The notes of honey and citrus slowly fade away and make way for a clean memory of mild spices and a refined, fresh finish.

Serving tips & pairings

• Temperature: Do not serve this wine too cold; preferably serve it between 10°C and 12°C, to allow the complex oak aromas to show fully at their best.

• Glass: Use a generous wine glass (such as one for a rich Chardonnay) to give the aromas room to develop.

• Gastronomy: The ultimate partner for pronounced flavours. Excellent with blue cheeses (such as Roquefort), foie gras, spicy Asian dishes (such as curry) or rich fish dishes with creamy sauces.

• Characteristic: 100% Petit Manseng; fermented and aged for 10 months in French barriques.
