Aroma An intense and enticing bouquet that remains extra concentrated in magnum. Immediately recognisable are the rich notes of blackberries and blackcurrants, complemented by aromas of violets, cedarwood and a subtle spiciness of graphite and tobacco leaves.

Taste The mouthfeel is full, oily and warming. On the palate, layers of dark fruit, plums and a striking saline minerality remain beautifully balanced with the firm yet silky-smooth tannins. The 14,5% alcohol provides a beautiful structure in which the fresh acidity combines perfectly with the complex, spicy core.

Finish A very long, elegant finish. The intense notes of berries and oak slowly fade away and make way for a warm memory of mild spices and a hint of mint.

Serving tips & pairings

• Breathe: Given the volume, it is essential to decant this Magnum at least two hours before serving to open the complex layers fully.

• Temperature: Preferably serve this blend between 16°C and 18°C in generous Bordeaux glasses.

• Gastronomy: Excellent with robust dishes such as leg of lamb with rosemary, grilled entrecôte or aged hard cheeses. Also fantastic with game dishes and a rich berry sauce.

• Moment: This is the ideal wine for large gatherings, festive dinners or as a showpiece in the wine cellar, where the complexity of the Collage composition can take centre stage fully.
