Dopff Au Moulin Crémant d'Alsace Cuvée Julien Brut is an ode to the elegance and rich history of Alsace. Where some sparkling wines overwhelm with heavy acidity, this Cuvée Julien at 12,0% offers impressive suppleness and a richer mouthfeel through the harmonious blend of Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. 

This results in a clear, golden-yellow liquid full of notes of white flowers, quince and a recognisable silky-smooth feel with a characteristic, vibrant structure from 18 months of ageing on the lees. The Dopff family was the very first, in 1900, to apply Champagne techniques to its own grapes in Riquewihr. What makes this release special is its crystal-clear texture; through an extremely light pressing of whole bunches, the aromas of fresh fruit and floral hints remain exceptionally clear. This is a drink that brings the vibrant energy of the French wine tradition directly to your glass.

This is a Crémant that shows how a traditional style can have a vibrant, modern face, with the refinement of Pinot Blanc melting beautifully into the body of Auxerrois. Flavor & character

Aroma A fresh and enticing bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the sparkling notes of white flowers and quince, beautifully complemented by aromas of ripe pear, a light hint of brioche and a subtle mineral touch that pleasantly stimulates the nose.

Taste The mouthfeel is smooth, elegant and extremely balanced thanks to the fine bubbles. On the palate, layers of white fruit and subtle yeasty notes appear, with a striking balance between lively acidity and a vibrant, creamy structure. The alcohol percentage of 12,0% supports the clarity beautifully, while nuances of citrus and a hint of almond linger long and harmoniously for a clean finish.
