Aroma A rich and layered bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the notes of lemongrass and passion fruit from the Sauvignon, beautifully complemented by the aromas of yellow peach, honeysuckle and a subtle waxy touch from the Semillon, rounded off with a hint of vanilla and flint.

Taste The mouthfeel is full, almost creamy and extremely refreshing. On the palate, layers of candied lemon, quince and a striking saline minerality remain beautifully balanced with the lively acidity. The 13,5% alcohol provides a beautiful structure in which the savoury nuances combine perfectly with the fruity core.

Finish A very long, elegant finish. The fresh notes of citrus slowly fade away and make way for a warm memory of toasted almonds and a complex, earthy finish.

Serving tips & pairings

• Temperature: Do not serve this blend too cold; between 10°C and 12°C the complex layers of both grape varieties show at their best.

• Glassware: Use a generous wine glass to give the wine sufficient oxygen, comparable to a glass for white Burgundy.

• Gastronomy: Excellent with richer fish dishes such as grilled wolffish, lobster with melted butter or poultry in a creamy white wine sauce. Also fantastic with dishes carrying light smoked elements.

• Potential: This is a white wine that can age beautifully; for 5 to 10 years after the harvest it will only gain in complexity and richness.
