Aroma A rich and enticing bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the deep notes of ripe blackberries and plums, beautifully complemented by aromas of black pepper, garrigue herbs (such as thyme and rosemary) and a subtle touch of leather and liquorice.

Taste The mouthfeel is fleshy, powerful and extremely balanced. On the palate, layers of dark fruit and a striking balance between ripe tannins and spicy nuances. The alcohol percentage of 14,5% supports the full body beautifully, with nuances of cocoa and spices lingering long and harmoniously.

Finish A long, impressive finish. The fruity warmth slowly ebbs away and makes way for a clean memory of bay leaf and a refined, silky-smooth finish.

Serving tips & pairings

• Temperature: Serve the wine between 16°C and 18°C. For a young wine, decanting is recommended so the aromas can open fully.

• Glass: Drink it preferably from a generous red wine glass to encourage interaction between oxygen and the wine.

• Gastronomy: The ideal partner for firm meat dishes such as wild boar, grilled ribeye with herb butter, or oven-roasted leg of lamb. Also fantastic with ripe washed-rind cheeses.

• Characteristic: Blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre; from the Garrigues plateau; raised without oak to preserve the fruit.

• Moment: This is the ideal wine for an elaborate dinner with friends, an evening by the fireplace, or to lay down in the cellar for several years for even greater complexity.
