Flavour The mouthfeel is full, savoury, and extremely balanced. On the palate, layers of various herbs unfold, showcasing a remarkable balance between the natural bitterness and the mild, soft texture of the base alcohol. The alcohol percentage of 30% supports the structure, with warm spicy nuances lingering long and harmoniously.

Finish A medium-length, warming finish. The notes of liquorice and bay slowly fade away, making room for a clean impression of mild bitters and a refined, rounded finish.

Serving tips & combinations

• Temperature: Serve Boomsma Beerenburger preferably ice-cold (from the freezer) for a crisp experience, or at room temperature to fully appreciate the herbal aromas.

• Glass: Use a traditional shot glass or a small tulip-shaped glass.

• Pairing: Excellent to combine with Dutch herring, cubes of aged cheese, Frisian dry sausage, or a hearty mashed potato dish.

• Mix tip: Delicious mixed with cola ("Berenco") or try it in coffee with a dollop of whipped cream (Frisian coffee).
