Flavour The mouthfeel is soft, elegant, and extremely balanced. On the palate, layers of mild grains unfold with a striking balance between the fresh fruit and the silky texture of the malt wine. The alcohol percentage of 35% supports the structure, with the subtle nuances of clove and citrus lingering harmoniously.

Finish A medium-length, refreshing finish. The notes of juniper slowly fade away, making way for a clean impression of grains and a refined, round finish.

Serving tips & combinations

• Temperature: Preferably serve this genever ice cold from the freezer for a crisp experience, or lightly chilled to better taste the nuances of the grain wine.

• Glass: Drink it the traditional way: filled to the rim in a tulip glass ('with a head on it').

• Pairing: The ideal partner for a 'kopstootje' alongside a cold beer. Also excellent with raw fish such as herring, young cheeses, or savoury Frisian snacks.

• Cocktail tip: Thanks to its elegant character, this is also an excellent base for a classic "Dutch & Stormy" with ginger beer and lime.
