DX Roble from Bodega Los Pinos is an ode to the balance between fresh fruit and subtle oak ageing. Where young wines sometimes lean solely on fruit, this organic variant offers impressive depth and a richer mouthfeel through its short resting period in oak casks. 

This results in an intense cherry-red wine full of notes of blackberries, cherries and a recognisable hint of cocoa. Bottled at 13,5% for the ultimate balance between Mediterranean suppleness and a silky-smooth, structured vibe.

Bodega Los Pinos DX Roble: Fruit with a bite

The DX Roble is considered by connoisseurs to be the sweet spot for anyone looking for an everyday quality wine with character. Bodega Los Pinos works entirely organically and vegan in the high-altitude region of Fontanars dels Alforins. What makes this release special is the harmony between powerful Monastrell and structured Cabernet Sauvignon. By allowing the wine to mature for only a few months in oak, the tannins are rounded and subtle aromas of coffee and chocolate emerge, whilst the juicy fruitiness of the grapes remains dominant.

Flavour & character

Aroma An intense and enticing bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the rich notes of black fruit such as blackberries and cherries, beautifully complemented by aromas of red berries and a subtle spicy touch of milk chocolate, freshly roasted coffee and a hint of leather.

Taste The mouthfeel is rounded, juicy and very balanced. On the palate, layers of ripe fruit appear, with a striking balance between soft tannins and a fine oak touch. The alcohol percentage of 13,5% keeps the wine lively and easy-drinking, with fruity nuances accompanied by a pleasant minerality typical of the region.

Finish A medium-long, elegant finish. The notes of cherries and chocolate slowly fade away and make way for a clean memory of mild spices and a refined, rounded finish.


Serving tips & pairings

  • Temperature: Serve this wine at preference between the 14°C and 16°C.

  • Glass: Use a standard Bordeaux glass to let the fruity and spicy aromas blend well.
