Biorebe Merlot is an ode to the pure power of Italian nature. Where other Merlot wines can sometimes be too heavy or syrupy, this organic variant from the Veneto region (IGP Trevenezie) offers impressive depth and a richer mouthfeel through its focus on healthy fruit and careful ageing in stainless steel. 

This results in a ruby-red wine full of notes of ripe plums, cherries and a recognisable soft feel. Bottled at 13,5% for the ultimate balance between Italian suppleness and a refined, velvety structure.

Flavour & character

Aroma An intense and enticing bouquet. Immediately recognisable are the rich notes of ripe plums and dark cherries, complemented by aromas of red berries, a hint of violets and a subtle spicy touch of cocoa and dried spices.

Taste The mouthfeel is full, velvety and very harmonious. On the palate, layers of soft forest fruit appear, with a striking balance between fruity intensity and discreet tannins. The alcohol percentage of 13,5% provides a beautiful backbone in which the smooth nuances come through beautifully.

Finish A medium-long, elegant finish. The soft notes of red fruit slowly fade away and make way for a clean memory of mild fruit sweetness and a refined, rounded finish.


Serving tips & pairings

  • Temperature: Serve this Merlot preferably at a temperature between 15°C and 17°C to let the fruity aromas show at their best.
