Palate Full-bodied and balanced on the palate, with layered flavours of peat smoke, maritime notes, oak and a smooth, rounded structure.

Finish A very long, elegant finish. The intense notes of campfire and salt slowly fade, giving way to a clean memory of mild spices and a dry, smoky finish.

Serving tips & pairings

• Neat: The only way to fully experience the maritime power and expertly judged peat level of Islay.

• Glass: Use a Glencairn glass to concentrate the heavy smoke aromas.

• With a drop of water: A few drops of water can reveal surprisingly fruity citrus notes and a softer, creamier side of the peat.

• Food pairing: Pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, aged cheese, smoked dishes, or a fine cigar, depending on the style of the whisky.
